What we prove — and what we don't.
Trust comes from the boundary being visible. Most tools blur what is checked, what is merely retrieved, and what is invented. We draw the line in the open. Every result on Narrow Highway is one of five kinds — and you can always see which. Don't trust us. Re-check the receipt.
The five kinds of result
Nothing here is treated as the same kind of thing. A sealed proof, a cited source, a signpost, your own words, and a generated sentence carry different weight — so we mark them differently.
A checked truth, with a receipt you can re-verify
Math, logic, and the exact-checkable domains: the engine works it out, hands you the trail, and seals a permanent, content-addressed receipt. Re-fetch the hash and the bytes must match, or it isn't that record. This is the moat — the deterministic math core: 60 checks, 0 false-positives, 100% correct. Alongside it, 64 verification domains check claims across the sciences. e.g. (x−1)(x+1) = x²−1 → HOLDS.
Real material, named — not "verified true"
Scripture (World English Bible, public domain), commentary (Matthew Henry, PD), the dictionary (Easton's, 1897, PD — historically useful, not the final scholarly word), cross-references (openbible.info, CC BY), and the kept library. Found and attributed, verbatim — the source is named so you can weigh it. We do not claim a citation is "proven"; we show you where it comes from.
Points toward Christ — never a proof
Prophecy and cross-cultural traces are graded CONCORDANT / MIXED / STRUCTURAL and NEVER HOLDS. Fulfillment is a witness, not a deterministic seal (1 John 4:1-3). A signpost points; it does not manufacture the destination. See Signposts.
Your words, kept verbatim — never graded, never verified
Journal entries, community contributions, self-attestations, a child's reading progress: kept exactly as given, on your terms. We never grade or rank a person, never treat your note as an engine verdict, and personal details are stripped before anything is sent.
The engine does not invent an answer and call it authority
Every response carries generated: false. Narrow Highway finds, verifies, cites, and keeps — it is a conduit, not the source. The wisdom is in a Person, not in software; the tool points past itself.
The moat — the ground we stand on
The one thing that is not "trust me." A deterministic core, benchmarked and sealed — and you can run it yourself.
A false-positive — sealing a falsehood as true — is the one error we treat as critical. There are none. Re-run the benchmark yourself with python tools/check.py, or re-fetch any seal by its hash.
What we will never do
- Generate an answer and present it as authority. No hallucinated verdicts, ever.
- Grade, rank, or label a child — the reading coach teaches; it never judges a person.
- Move money or give personalized investment advice — Steward organizes; you act.
- Claim more than the seal shows. A signpost is not a proof; a citation is not a verdict.
- Surveil you. No account required; details stripped before send; runs on your own box, offline.
- Replace Christ, His church, or real people. A window, not a wall — success is the day you need the tool less (John 3:30).
Built on the Word
The foundation is not decoration; it governs the boundaries above. The engine verifies, keeps, and points — a conduit, not the source. The Source of all truth is Jesus Christ, the narrow way (Matthew 7:14). The fuller witness is at narrowhighway.org.
