1. Set the opening. 2. Fight the perfect round. 3. Mid-round: if this, then that. 4. Identify the closing position. 5. Run the play and finish. The sequence is a cognitive script, not a rigid plan. Steps 1–2 establish pressure and read the opponent. Step 3 is the decision tree — recognize the pattern, execute the next step. Steps 4–5 are clinical: find the close and shut the door.
