A parable — Calling late
parables
At the eleventh hour the master found men still standing in the market, and asked, 'Why have ye stood here all the day idle?' They said, 'Because no man hath hired us.' He sent them into the vineyard. At day's end they received the same wage as those hired at dawn. The wage was not measured by hours but by the master's generosity. Ask yourself: What hour are you afraid you have missed? GOD — wait. The vineyard accepts late arrivals at the master's wage, not yours. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
