A parable — Worry what if

parables

A woman lay awake and ran every path her child might walk for a thousand miles. By morning she had aged a year, and the child had walked one mile, and the road had been gentle. She kissed him goodbye and was tired. Ask yourself: Has the worry added one hour to anyone's life? GOD — wait. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Mt 6:27). The worry is a tax on a day that has not arrived. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
