A parable — Envy

A man kept a ledger of his neighbor's blessings. The ledger grew thick. His neighbor's house, his neighbor's wife, his neighbor's ox, his neighbor's days. He carried the ledger everywhere. He could not lift his own hand for the weight of someone else's bag. Ask yourself: Whose ledger are you carrying? RED — be honest. Thou shalt not covet (Ex 20:17). The weight in your hand may not even be yours. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
