A parable — Competition brother

Two disciples ran toward the same tomb. One arrived first but waited; the other arrived later and went in. The first did not boast of the running; the second did not boast of the entering. Years later they argued, in their grief, about who would die first. The Lord said to one: 'What is that to thee? Follow thou me.' Ask yourself: What is the other's path to you, when yours has been set? RED — be honest about your race. The other's pace is not your business; your following is. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
