Belgic Art. 3: The Written Word of God

We confess that this Word of God did not come by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Afterward God, from a special care which he has for us and our salvation, commanded his servants to commit his revealed Word to writing.
