Tracing the peoples — genes and words, two clocks reading one history

A people can be traced across DISTANCE and TIME by two records that survive in the body and in the mouth: the genome and the language. They are the same method — a molecular clock ticking, a tree branching — turned on the human family. Sealed (https://narrowhighway.com/s/222afa501ad9a65a6cbb50011690b7b5363cc002934bf367eac99bf946b5774b): every human carries a mitochondrial genome of 16,569 base pairs (~4 KB of maternal inheritance); populations, like genes and languages, admit (2n-3)!! possible trees (10,395 for seven groups); two lineages coalesce to one ancestor in ~2N generations; and shared basic vocabulary decays exponentially to 47% after five millennia — the linguistic half-life beside the genetic one. Cavalli-Sforza's finding (Genes, Peoples, and Languages, 1994): the genetic tree of human populations and the linguistic tree are strongly CORRELATED — the same migrations left both traces, so genes and words tell one congruent story of where people went and when. And the seal that undoes a lie: any two humans are ~99.9% identical (1 - 1/1000, sealed); the pseudoscience that we differ by ~10% — 'races' as distinct kinds — sealed BROKEN (https://narrowhighway.com/s/8e9216a6c444998db097c659c3f607d4b98805b5c5e8c0ea06621a1ae568a842). We are one blood. Honest boundary: the CLOCK math and the identity fraction seal; exact DATES (mito-Eve ~150-200 kya, out-of-Africa ~60 kya) and rates are measured, contested, INCOMPLETE; and no single 'proto-world' language is provable — the trees run back toward fewer tongues, not demonstrably to one. Signpost, and the charter of this work: 'He made from one man every nation of mankind to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling' (Acts 17:26, Paul at the Areopagus) — the verse names TIME (allotted periods) and DISTANCE (boundaries), and the genes and the words are its physical record.
