Called clearly to a hard place; flees the opposite direction; disciplined by storm and great fish; obeys outwardly but resents the mercy extended to those he was sent to. Failure mode: Resentment that grace is given to enemies; preferring death to being part of mercy's instrument. Restoration path: Name the running before God names it; let the heart-work continue past the obedience. Markers: knew clearly what was asked; moving the opposite direction; discomfort with mercy toward enemies; anger when relief comes for those despised; outward obedience masking inner resistance
