Aaron and Hur

As Joshua fights below, Moses raised rod brings victory; when his hands grow heavy, Aaron and Hur set a stone under him to sit on and stay his hands, one on each side, until the going down of the sun; Amalek defeated. Failure mode: None at the rock; Aaron later in the calf. Restoration path: When the one whose lifted hands decide the day grows weary, stand under each arm; keep his hands steady until the sun goes down. Markers: leaders strength fading mid-battle; two come alongside; hold up the arms each on a side; day is won not by them but through them; steadiness through to sundown
