A parable — Returning to first

A man returned to the field of his youth. The well he had drunk from was still there but the path was overgrown. He cleared the path himself and drank. The water tasted the same. He had not lost the water; he had lost the path to it, and the path was cleared by his own hands. Ask yourself: Which path have you allowed to grow over, to a well that is still there? RED — be honest. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works (Rev 2:5). The well has not moved. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
