153 — the counted catch

John 21:11: Simon Peter drew the net to land, "full of one hundred fifty-three great fish. Even though there were so many, the net wasn't torn." The number's mathematics sealed: 153 = 17·18/2 (the 17th triangular — a net's worth of fish stacks into a perfect triangle), 153 = 1³+5³+3³ (the sum of the cubes of its own digits), and 153 = 1!+2!+3!+4!+5!: https://narrowhighway.com/s/156fa5deb4e99a00df89bd00b9c552c4fd27f0665842fe6b5bfc831847dbdf5f . The honest count, kept: "Peter is in 153 verses" does NOT hold on this corpus — five rules declared before counting gave 157 (Peter), 162 (+Cephas), 20 (Simon Peter), 200 (+any Simon), 6 (Cephas). No tuned rule was accepted; a rule chosen because it lands on the target is post-hoc — that is stretching the net, not hauling it. The pre-registered Greek count (Πέτρος in a fixed critical text) remains honestly OPEN. The scene itself teaches the method: the disciples counted, exactly, and the record kept the number.
