A parable — Grief companion
A shepherd walked his sheep through a narrow valley. The sheep saw only shadows and were afraid. They did not see the rod and staff in the shepherd's hand, nor hear his quiet word among the rocks. He did not lift the valley from them; he walked it with them, on the same path, at their pace. They came through; he had been with them the whole time. Ask yourself: What rod and staff are walking beside you that you have not yet noticed? GOD — wait. He restoreth my soul. The valley is not skipped; it is accompanied. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
