A parable — Critical path

A builder was behind on his work. He hired more men, but the wall waited on the stone, and the stone waited on the kiln, and the kiln waited on the fire, and the fire could only burn at the speed of fire. The new men stood idle until the builder, at last, sat down and waited. Ask yourself: What in your work waits on nothing more than your willingness to wait? GOD — wait. Adding labor to what is not yet ready is the appearance of motion, not the substance. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
