A parable — Silence better
A man in the council never spoke first. When his turn came, he had heard everyone and the matter was clearer. Those who had spoken first had often spoken twice — once to argue, and once to retract. He retracted nothing, because he had said nothing he did not mean. Ask yourself: What have you said today that you might have heard yourself out of? RED — be honest about what is yours to add. Silence is sometimes the most honest contribution. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
