A parable — Pride praise
parables
A man stood at the front of the temple and thanked God he was not like other men — extortioners, unjust, adulterers. A second man stood at the back and would not lift his eyes, and only said, God be merciful to me a sinner. The second man went home justified. The first had already been paid. Ask yourself: Which front of the temple do you stand at — and which back? RED — be honest about your standing. He that humbleth himself shall be exalted (Lk 18:9-14). (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
