A parable — Hope waiting
A woman waited for the child she could not have. Year by year the hope deferred made her heart sick. Then one day, late and against every expectation, the child came, and the hope was a tree, and the sickness was forgotten as if it had never been. Ask yourself: Has the wait made you sick? Or has the wait become the soil of the tree? GOD — wait. Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life (Prov 13:12). (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
