Most wicked king of Judah; bound in chains and carried to Babylon; humbled himself greatly; sought the LORD his God; was brought back; reformed worship as far as he could. Failure mode: Decades of idolatry, child sacrifice, occult. Restoration path: Even the worst, when bound in chains, can be heard if they humble themselves greatly. Markers: sustained wickedness in power; captivity breaks the pride; humbles himself greatly; reforms what he can in time remaining; late but real repentance
