A parable — Authority

A man asked a passing stranger where to build his house. The stranger pointed to a place by a river. The man built there. Soon the rains came, and the river rose, and the house was lost. The stranger had never built a house, only walked past many. Ask yourself: Whom did you ask, and what had they built? RED — be honest about whose authority you are leaning on. Expertise in one field is not expertise in yours. (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
