A parable — Hope false
The prophet wrote: I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. The exiles took this to mean tomorrow. It was meant for seventy years later. The hope was real; the timing was theirs to wait through, not theirs to claim. Ask yourself: Have you taken a long-game promise and tried to spend it tomorrow? RED — be honest about the timeline of the promise. The plan was for hope; the wait was seventy years (Jer 29:10-11). (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
