A parable — Generosity hoard
A rich man's ground brought forth plenty, so he tore down his barns and built greater ones. He said to his soul: take ease, eat, drink, be merry. That night God said to him: thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee — then whose shall those things be? Ask yourself: For whose barn are you tearing down the old one? FLOOR — protect what cannot recover, but you cannot store the soul in a barn (Lk 12:16-21). (A Narrow Highway original teaching parable — not a parable of Jesus; a made story that carries a true edge.)
